Finally, I'm 12w2d. So thankful to be moving out of the first trimester. I do have to say time is going by rather quickly. I keep forgetting I wont' get the "normal" 40 weeks for this pregnancy. I'll most likely only get 36 or so. That is about May 10...tomorrow is December 1. Ah! Time is flying!
Well, I just wanted to drop in. I'm still trucking along. I've held off vomiting for over a week, but the nausea is always lurking and comes and goes occasionally. I hope it goes away for good soon. My sniffer is definitely the most sensitive it's ever been. I had to go out and get some fresh air at my parents house on Thanksgiving between the food cooking and the lit candles, my stomach was not happy. Last night I washed our bedding, but I couldn't sleep with it because the dryer sheet smell was making me nauseous. Hopefully since it's aired out for a day I can tolerate it tonight.
Other than that I'm mostly tired and hungry all the time :0)
I have another u/s on Friday. I can't wait to see how much the little buggers have grown!

10w4d appointment
There are the pics!Appointment went good - yay! The two little gummi's were flipping around and moving all over when the doc was trying to measure them. He measured their neck for signs of down syndrome - I forget the name at the moment. They both looked great. The doc offered to have to do blood tests for DS, but I declined. I don't see a point.
Anyway, now they are about an inch and a half long. About double from two weeks ago. I go in for another u/s in two weeks!
Ta ta for now!

9w6d
I can't believe I'll be 10 weeks along tomorrow. It's weird the weeks seem to be going fast, but the time between my appointments goes so slow. I love being able to see the little blobs on the screen. I have an appointment next Wednesday. I'm hoping we'll be able to finally hear their heartbeats.
I've actually been feeling better the last few days. I'm still really tired and a little queasy in the mornings, but nothing like the nausea and occasional vomiting like the weeks before. I hope this continues!
Well not much to report. I'll check back after my ultrasound!

8w4d appointment
We had our second doctor appointment earlier this week. Wow, the little gummi's have grown a lot in the last two weeks. At our last appointment they were about the size of a grain of rice. At this appointment they were almost an inch long already!
I think I've been feeling the typical pregnancy symptoms. I'm nauseous, mostly in the morning. I'm tired and have no energy most of the time. I have to get up a lot at night to go to the bathroom. I get heartburn occasionally, etc. I haven't had much for food cravings...but definitely some aversions. It's really smells that are turning me off. The smell of someone else's food sometimes makes me ill. I even have to hold my breath when I open the fridge. Not that my fridge is gross, but the smell of leftovers, or whatever, is sick. Even people's perfume, which I normally wouldn't notice can make me gag. Oh the joy of pregnancy. So far, it hasn't been much of a joy, but I hear it should be better in a few weeks (before it gets worse, of course!)
I'm hoping this blog will help those family members and friends who we don't get to see or talk to often keep up to speed with our soon expanding family.
I have another doctor appointment in two weeks. I'll keep you posted!
Until then, here is an u/s picture from this week's appointment:

First appointment
We had our first appointment on October 21. I was 6w4d pregnant. Hubby and I were really nervous, since we didn't know what we'd be able to see or not see. We knew there was a chance that I could be pregnant with multiples since our last fertility cycle had yeilded about 6 eggs. To our surprise it was twins. We saw two sacs and two beautiful heartbeats flickering on the screen.
We were really excited about twins. We have always wanted to two kids. With all that we endured the last couple of years, we had decided months before that if we were ever blessed with a child, that would be it. "It" would be the most loved and spoiled kid on the planet. But now with two...it's icing on the cake!
Of course we know it won't be a piece of cake...but we're up for the challenge!
Here is our first ultrasound picture of Baby A and Baby B:

Welcome!
Hi All!
I'm so glad you decided to drop in! We have some very exciting news to share! We're expecting twins!
To give you a little background. Hubby and I were married in July 2005. The very next month I went off birth control pills. We knew it might take a while for me to get pregnant, but little did we know it would take four years of trying, including two years of medical intervention. After countless doctor appointments, pill popping, drug injecting, and a lot of tears...we finally have succeeded.
Our little gummy bears are due June 2010, but since twins come early...we're expecting them in May.
Please follow along as we start a new journey from infertility to pregnancy to parenthood!
